Pearl District

The Pearl District sits on land that was once a wetland and lake fed by streams from the hills of southwest Portland. Planning for the neighborhood began in the early 1990s with a network of open spaces as a goal. Tanner Springs Park, which opened in 2005, manages stormwater with natural systems and features an art piece made from old railroad tracks.
